Buffalo, NY - Univera Healthcare received an Honorable Mention from the Communicator Awards' 2007 Print Competition for a sales testimonial piece including a six-minute DVD overview of its Fun 2B Fit program. Fun 2B Fit is a school-based initiative focusing on second, third and fourth graders and their families -- encouraging them to adopt a healthier lifestyle by trying new foods, increasing physical activity, making healthier food choices at the supermarket and preparing meals as a family.

The Communicator Awards is an international awards program recognizing creative excellence in the communication field and holds annual competitions for audio, video, and print media.

Printed by Buffalo-based Ansun Graphics, Univera Healthcare distributes the DVD to area schools interested in participating in their Fun 2B Fit healthy lifestyle program.

Over 8,000 Western New York students at 35 schools have participated in Univera Healthcare's Fun 2B Fit program, which is being offered to select schools in the WNY area. Fun 2B Fit program partners include Wegmans Food Markets, Inc., Body Shaping By Sandy, the Healthy Community Alliance, and Lifetime Health Medical Group.
